Job Description:

As a Platform Engineer at B|Cubed Engineering, you will play a critical role in architecting, deploying, and managing our Kubernetes-based infrastructure across a variety of environments, ranging from edge sensors to enterprise clouds. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, implement CI/CD pipelines, and optimize the performance of containerized applications. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging technical problems and drive innovation in the container orchestration space.

You will facilitate the successful integration of tenant applications into the Kubernetes Platform. Your role will be essential to ensuring a seamless experience for clients as they join the Kubernetes ecosystem.

This role combines technical expertise with strong communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support microservices-based architecture.
• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity of the Kubernetes environment.
• Work closely with clients to understand their application requirements and design Kubernetes solutions that meet their needs.
• Provide guidance and training to tenants on best practices for Kubernetes usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Optimize software for maximum performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in Kubernetes and containerization.

Strong candidates with have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLabCI).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with tenants.
• Ability to understand and translate tenant application requirements into Kubernetes configurations.
• Active SECRET Clearance (required).

Highly Desired:

• Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools like Helm, Istio, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Prometheus, or Rancher.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.
• Active TS//SCI Clearance (US Citizenship Required).
